Advertising on OutageCalendar.com
OutageCalendar places your ad directly on the outage pages for the nuclear plant(s) you choose — seen by the traveling contractors, vendors, and workers who follow outage work around the country.
How to create an ad
The easiest way to get started is from any outage page: scroll to the "List Your Property" button in the blue box, and click it. That takes you straight into the ad builder with nothing to look up first.
You can also start from My Purchased Ads and click New Advertisement — useful if you're not currently viewing an outage page, or you already have an account and want to manage existing ads.
- Sign in, or create an account.
- Choose the plant your ad should appear on — your ad will show on every outage page for that plant.
- Fill in your title, subtitle, ad text, image, and the link you want visitors to click.
- Pick a start date and a duration, then save. Your ad is saved as a draft at this point — it is not live and nothing has been charged yet.
- From My Purchased Ads, proceed to payment to activate it. Ads only display once payment is received, once the start date arrives, and until the duration you purchased runs out.
Frequently asked questions
What does it cost?
Pricing is a flat one-time fee based on how long your ad runs — it is not a recurring subscription:
| Run length | One-time fee |
|---|---|
| 1 month | $29.00 |
| 6 months | $99.00 |
| 12 months | $199.00 |
Where does my ad show up?
Your ad displays on every outage page for the single plant you selected when creating it. It will not appear on other plants' pages.
What image size should I use?
Upload a PNG or JPEG. You can upload any size — it will be resized to a maximum of 752×429px @ 72dpi.
Can I edit my ad after I've paid?
Yes, you can still edit your title, subtitle, text, link, and image after payment. The start date can no longer be changed once payment is received, since your run dates are already locked in.
When does my ad go live, and when does it stop running?
Your ad appears starting on the start date you chose, once payment has been received, and keeps running for the number of months you purchased.
